Case Study 2
An example of people treated successfully with hyperbaric oxygen therapy at HOTC.
37 year-old woman with sickle cell anemia and small vessel disease who had a long-standing non-healing wound of the right ankle. The wound was covered with yellow fibrin slough and draining a large amount. Going to work at her office was becoming increasingly difficult for her, due to pain and dressing changes. The patient had a brisk response to hyperbaric therapy. The wound was completely closed after 24 hyperbaric sessions of 100% O2 @ 2.0 ATA.
